{Giving Back} Panera Bread donates to Elmwood Park Zoo

Today I was priveledged to be asked to take a few photos at a cermony held at the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA as Panera Bread donated over $7,000 to the zoo. If you live in the area, come down and visit the zoo – it’s a small community zoo but the facilities are very nice. Here are two pictures that will be used for publicity.

I have been watching the rapid rise on popularity of the LinkedIn social networking site. after many “connection” requests from old friends and associates, I noticed a common theme: very few people actually have headshots to use on their “profile”. I guess it’s obvious that a picture that is fine for a facebook picture is probably not the same picture that one would want to use for a professional networking site.

Given the current economy and the very difficult job market, I decided that I will offer free headshots for use on social networking sites. This offer is good through the end of March, 2010. Quest for Tech at Penn State Great Valley

Last night I had the pleasure of taking a few PR photographs for Quest For Tech, a local charitable organization working out of Philadelphia. Quest For Tech provides technology training, free of charge, to those who need it.

As part of a capstone course at the local Penn State University campus (Great Valley located in Malvern, PA), students will be designing business plans for selected charitable organizations. Quest For Tech was selected as one of the six organizations to receive help from the PSU-GV students. Congratulations Quest For Tech, and good luck!
