Last weekend, on August 9th I had the opportunity to spend some time with Beth and Mike working on some engagement photos for them. What an awesome couple – first, the day got off to a truly dreadful start with possibly the hardest rain we’ve seen in the last two years. On my way to Cabrini College, where we were shooting at the Mansion, I swore my car was going to get washed off the road. Then, I missed the invisible turn into the campus. Then I drove past the mansion and had to figure out how to get back. Phew. Anyways, these guys were troopers and I think we got some really excellent shots indoors and out. Kudos to them for getting us in on a Sunday – we had the whole place to ourselves!
First, a few from inside. The interior was really quite dark and a bit challenging given the gloomy weather, but making use of some video lights and some reflections gave some very nice results. These first few were nice because I think Beth and Mike really started to get comfortable in front of the camera. *click click click*.

I love the look of this one, very intimate photo of Beth and Mike.
By the time we made it outside, the weather had cleared somewhat allowing us to get some fun shots.

This is my favorite photo from the engagement session. Great expressions!

Ok so it stopped raining before we could get the rain shot I was dreaming of all morning in front of the Cabrini Mansion. Oh well, it was still fun to pretend with Beth and Mike. Look closely and you might spot a wee bit of a Mickey Mouse running around somewhere.
